PROGRAMS OF STUDY
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy offers five major programs of study and ten minors:
City and Regional Planning (170, 170D) -- Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree
Health Administration major (501, 501D) -- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree
Public Health major (832, 832D) -- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree
Public Policy major (833, 833D) -- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree
Urban Planning and Design major (971, 971D) -- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree

Please note: The Planning and Public Policy (762, 762D) major and minor were discontinued effective October 2024.
Restrictions of major and minor combinations:
City and Regional Planning (170) majors may not declare the Urban Studies (975) minor or the Urban Planning and Design (971) major or minor.
Urban Planning and Design (971) majors may not declare the City and Regional Planning (170) major or minor or the Urban Studies (975) minor.
Bloustein School direct-admit students are permitted to double major or major/minor across programs except as noted above.
Students in SAS are allowed to declare a Bloustein School major/minor combination except as noted above.
Students in SEBS are allowed to declare the Public Health major with a Bloustein School minor.
Students in a Rutgers-New Brunswick professional school need permission from their dean’s office to declare more than one Bloustein School program.
Exceptional, well-prepared students who are admitted to the Bloustein School may be invited by the faculty to pursue dual-degree programs in the following areas:
B.A. or B.S./M.P.H. for public health
B.A. or B.S./ M.P.P. for public policy
B.A. or B.S./M.C.R.P. for city and regional planning
