Provides a basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and applied biochemistry. Introduces to the structure (anatomy) and function (physiology) of the major body systems emphasizing cellular biology, neural, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, hepatic, immune, endocrine, and metabolic systems, cumulating to systems integration. Provides a thorough background of physiology to support future biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences coursework.

General principles of disease and their application to the study of clinical disorders that affect the body as a whole, its specific systems, and individual organs.
